Unity Oxford are delighted to invite you to a very special track event especially for Italian cars on Friday 18th October 2019 at Silverstone Race Track.
We have exclusivity of the international circuit for the event, including the use of pit garages and we have secured a 118db noise limit for the day, meaning some very special cars can attend and stretch their legs.
For those new to track events or if you fancy brushing up on your driving skills, a dedicated pro driver will also be available.
As well as enjoying the fabulous International Circuit, you will be able to visit Copse runway and test yours and your cars agility through a timed slalom and sprint section.
Italian Cars at Silverstone will be great for spectators too, meaning you can enjoy the atmosphere and some sensational cars in action.
The cost of the event is £285 per car with up to 1 driver and 1 passenger. This includes driver safety briefing, use of Silverstone International Circuit for the day and pit lane garages. At a small additional cost, you have the option of helmet hire and pro driver who is available on a first come, first served basis.
Places are limited to please contact us early to secure yours for what will be a truly fabulous day.
What can I expect from the day?
A fantastic, fun filled day where you can explore your cars performance safely and with friendly, like minded individuals who will be equally as interested in your car as you probably will be theirs. Safety is paramount but the day is yours to enjoy, you will have lots of track time available to you, yet you can relax with us and other guests as much as you like.
What format will the event run in?
We will have 3 sessions on a rota basis, after the safety briefing your car will have a small, removable coloured sticker placed in the corner of the windscreen, so if for instance your sticker is red, your track session will be with the other 'red' group. These individual sessions are 20 minutes long, then it will be the turn of the next group and then the next, so you will have a 40-minute break before going back out again. if this doesn't sound a lot, bear in mind 20 minutes of hard driving will be a reasonable amount for most road biased cars so it will allow time for your cars' tyres and breaks to cool and allow you some time to take a break and spectate. Later in the day as and when people start to depart, it is likely you will have more time as there will be less people occupying the track at the same time, but it of course depends on the day and how many people stay until the very end.
Will the event still go ahead if it's raining?
Yes, it will, we will carry on and just be more careful!
What is the timing of the event?
Please arrive at Silverstone for 8:00am for the driver safety briefing, the track officially opens at 9:00am and closes at 5:00pm with 1-hour lunch from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
How do I pay?
Please contact Elliott Cartwright at email@example.com or Matt Horne at firstname.lastname@example.org to pay directly into our bank or call directly on 01865 376000 to pay by debit card if you prefer. Regrettably, due to limited spaces, no refunds will be given for cancellations. Places are available on a first come, first served basis.
What can I expect from the Pro Driver?
Our Pro Driver will be in the passenger seat of your car with you, offering tips and advice on optimum line, breaking points and how to progress quickly and safely. They will be with you for up to 5 laps and are available on first come, first served basis.
I have never done a track day before; can I still join in?
Of course! This day is about likeminded enthusiasts enjoying their cars, all abilities and driver sills are welcome. You most have a driving license, good driving etiquette and confidence behind the wheel. You do not need to be a racing driver or have had previous track experience!
What if my car has difficulties on the day?
This will be covered in the driver briefing in the morning of the event, but mechanical failures are rare providing the car is being operated within sensible constraints and providing it has been maintained properly and made ready for the day ahead.
Can we have lunch at Silverstone?
Yes, there is an onsite cafe that is being especially opened for us.
I'm nervous about going out on my own for the first time, can I passenger ride with somebody to help build my confidence?
Yes, you can join a member of the Unity team, one of our Pro Drivers or probably many of our customers and owners club members will probably be delighted for you to join them for a few laps.
What does my £285 cover?
Track time, use of Copse runway and use of the garages in the pit lane. Available at additional cost are the hire of a helmet, optional Pro Driver, your fuel usage, any track day insurance you wish to purchase.
What preparations do I need to make for the day?
Please make sure you wear a long sleeved top and trousers, also a helmet for the track is a must weather you are bringing your own or hiring one on the day
