How it all began.

Our story starts with Cross Roads Garage, Tredington. Subaru and Isuzu dealer since 1980, and where managing director Jon Mathers career in the motor trade began in 1985 as parts assistant. Jon soon learned that 'loving our customers' was the key to success and resulted in lots of fantastic repeat custom. Before long Jon began working in the sales department and continued this ethos, which is still pivotal in everything we do today. Multi award winning Cross Roads Garage - now officially Unity Tredington is consistently one of the best performing Subaru dealers in the Uk and continues to go from strength to strength with the benefit of the tremendous Subaru, Isuzu and SsangYong brands.

In 2012, Jon bought Carstins Garage in Balsall Common, and so the expansion of Unity Automotive well and truly began. We added SsangYong and Jeep to existing Subaru and Isuzu brands and due to engagement with a great team and support from our manufacturer partners, Unity Coventry has too become one of the best performing Subaru and SsangYong dealers in the Uk, and won 'Most improved dealer of the year' by Isuzu Uk in the first year of trading under the Unity name, not to mention regularly being one of the top performing Jeep dealers in the Uk. Plenty for us to be proud of! In 2019 we introduced MG to Unity Coventry, and are proud to be associated with this exciting, forward thinking brand. We owe our sincere thanks to the loyal Carstins customers who have continued to support Unity and become part of our future.

In 2013, Jon bought Heritage of Leicester, also renowned for Subaru and Jeep brands. By having 3 Subaru dealerships, we were really starting to offer some serious choice to used Subaru buyers, often having the largest selection of pre-owned Subaru stock in the Uk. Our experience grew, our team really started to grow and so in 2017 we added the SsangYong franchise to Leicester, Offering well specified, well built and exceptional value for money cars in a convenient servicing location. Once again, we owe our thanks to our fantastic customers who continue to support us at Unity Leicester and who have helped us on our journey.

The most recent addition to Unity Automotive Group is our Oxford dealership based in Kidlington. Jon purchased this fabulous Alfa Romeo and Jeep dealership in 2015 and we have recently added Dodge, Fiat and Abarth to our portfolio of brands, making this an official 'brand centre' for FCA brands. Here we house some of the most exciting new and used cars on sale in the Uk, and we are proud to be one of the best performing Alfa Romeo and Jeep dealers in the Uk. We think we have demonstrated, that with hard work, a desire to be the best and a 'can do' attitude you really can be the best.
